A.
Take 15-20 minutes to work up to a heavy, but not necessarily 1-RM Snatch

B.
Every minute, on the minute, for 20 minutes, perform:
3 Snatches
6 Burpees

Score the total amount (in lbs) successfully snatched during the workout. You choose the weight you’d like to use. If you do not complete a set within the assigned 60 seconds, go ahead and finish the set and then sit out the remainder of the set that you overlapped.

A. Up to 208.
B. 20 rounds at 115#. My goal was to do all 20 rounds. 6900# I should’ve used heavier for at least the last 3 rounds.

A. Up to 155… But not catching low on the squat… Still working on that and overhead squats.

B. 17 rounds at 105…so 5,355… I was dealing with a lot of tightness in my lower back which was as much of a factor or possibly more than fatigue for taking those 3 rounds off…anyone else feel super tight in the lower back on this?

So I ened up splitting this into two workouts because I had 30 min right after lunch and 30 min after dinner. A. Worked from PVC to 85# doing a hang squat snatch + a snatch. Then 90, 95. I did 3 really solid snatches at 95. Felt good, but was distracted with my girls and didn’t want to go heavier. 10 strict CTB 5 kipping CTB 2 sets max unbroken butterfly pull ups. 16, 22 B. This was soooooo painful. My heart felt like it was going to explode. 65# snatch was planning to do 75, changed my mind… Read more »

A. Single arm snatch
125 PR
Old PR was 120. This took about 4 attempts with each on getting closer. Finally hit it on the 4th try. Goal is 135

B. EMOTM
3 left arm snatches @75
6 burpees
This was a grind but was able to keep a consistent pace. May have been able to 5lbs or so heavier in the snatches but wanted to keep them quick and was worried about form breaking down late in the workout.

Is B supposed to be full snatch or is power snatch Rx?

The way I read it is that it’s only power snatch if specified. Snatch, like clean, implies a full squat. Obviously scale as necessary.

Oh well. I did power snatch. Still kicked my butt.

A. 140, down 20 from PR but been sick and still battling a cold.

B. 115# Power snatch. Ran over into 8th round and missed 4 rounds total. Was breathing hard and was congested so blew my nose into my shirt and it was probably the grossest thing I’ve ever done (on purpose).

Good work, it’s that time of year for head congestion. Somehow the old snot-rocket I used as a kid is no longer acceptable as an adult ?

Substituted DL for snatches – shoulder recovery, pretty close to back from about a week ago

A. DL 250# x1 – 25# PR

B. DL@ 155, did a fair amount of burpees yesterday, so I did 6 cal airdyne; didn’t miss any rounds, finished each round with ~20 sec left. If I had done the snatches and burpees I know I would have missed some rounds, this is the best substitution I could come up with.

Misses: 45kg. Went 2 and out at 50
B
That was hard.
I used 135# and didn’t miss any rounds or reps so 135x3x20=8100#
The misses used 65#, but sat out 6 rounds so 2730#

Snatch warm up x 5 @ PVC, 35# bar A. 55#x2, 65×2, 75×2, 80, 82, 85(f,f) my current 1RM is 85# B. 61.5# (Total – 1890) Thought about using 65# for Squat Snatch, but after reading everyones comments I decided to go with 75% of today’s 1RM (61.5#)….I must say I should have used 65#…this was way to easy for me. I miss judged the burpees, which I excel at! The good part is that my form and speed under the bar felt GREAT through all sets! Finished every set between 25-30 seconds. C. There are videos online to totally take your bar apart and clean it…but I don’t think I trust myself enough to go that far. But I do use a toothbrush to get the chalk out of the knurling and then I use WD40 and a rag to wipe the entire bar. I choose to do this on a day when I know I wont be using it the next day…the bar will be a little greasy at first, but is fine if you let it sit a day. Makes it look so pretty (my bar is black with silver ends)

B. Scaled to 5 burpees. Used 95#. Brutal. 6 burpees would have destroyed me in first couple rounds.
