Redo of 18.3 – 220 tie break 4:00
Faster by 23 sec. it might help a little as I free fall down the leader board. The OVHS felt better but I did better on the DU. But no stupid BMU.
I really shouldn’t be too bummed out because I have only worked on them a handful of times throughout the last year. But man, I feel like I’m close and should be there. I guess it’s better to have higher expectations of myself then to not have any. Next year!

Sunday – made up one from Tuesday. A. Back Squat – these felt good today *Set 1 – 5 reps @ 245 *Set 2 – 3 reps @ 265 *Set 3 – 1 rep @ 280 *Set 4 – 5 reps @ 270 *Set 5 – 3 reps @ 285 *Set 6 – 1 rep @ 310 B. Thanks, trying to strengthen my lower back with the sandbag, it really forces you into a hollow hold position. I’d love an AB component in the open.

Still couldn’t get that RMU…but I improved my tiebreak time by 2:33 so I’m really happy about that. Still need lots of work on those DU’s…but went UB again on the OHS!

Candy I’ve only ever tried to do rmu once before about a year ago until today….went and got a setup per Longhorns advice….first try for a strict muscle up….I used this advice

Hoping it translates when I’m able to do Kipping…went back out to make sure it wasn’t a fluke and got 3 in a row head is super close to ceiling tho ?

Yea def similar my ceiling is 9’ and I’m 5’10 Kipping is def out of the question. As soon as we thaw out here I’ll make an outdoor rig in the backyard

Both nephews and I worked out today so we kind of just agreed on some stuff to do.

Front squats build to heavy 3 reps.
Warm up
95×6/135×5/155×4/175×3/195×3 fail on #3
135×8

4 rounds
150m farmer carry w/53lb kettles
DU or SU jump rope
Tire flip.
At each 75m turn around on farmer carry, everyone does 5 push-ups. Marked time on the carry as well so everyone worked until they finished.

18.3 Rx 341 (9 db snatches) The OHS really messed me up (they took almost 5 min). I knew they would be a struggle as soon as I saw the weight. 8-4-4-3-1. Lost it on that last rep too so lost about another minute getting that one done. My right wrist was killing me not being used to this load so that didn’t help. RMU were not too bad (5-2-2-1-1-1) but I was using a grip (hand still tared from monday’s bmu) and it was slipping and making the reps harder. Thanks man. A weakness to work on indeed. Still pretty happy with it anyways, I’ve come a long way. My tight shoulders didn’t let me OHS as low as 15# when I started so just making it through those 20 reps is a victory on its own. I just saw your post, awesome work! Thank you! Had the second floor of my garage designed for this. About the dbs a local gym was getting new ones and wanted these out so i was able to get the set for 500$ (5-100#). Couldnt pass that!
