Hearty Hot Cereal

Looking for a warm and filling breakfast option to fuel your morning? This low-carb meal is brimming with healthy fats from a variety of seeds and oils and gives you the taste and feel of a hearty hot cereal without the grain.   • 2T Flax Seeds
  • 2T Ground Flax Seeds
  • 2T Chia Seeds
  • 2T Hemp Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1T butter or coconut oil
  • Hot water (to cover)


Mix all the seeds together along with the cinnamon. Add enough boiling water to moisten and barely cover the mix. Make sure to add the water a little at a time until you reach the desired thickness. Pat with butter or coconut oil and let sit for a few minutes before eating. The chia will soak up the water and help gel it all together. You could add protein powder to the mix if you desire but make sure to add extra water if you do. You can even top it with coconut milk!
