PERFORMANCE 

Warm-Up.

One set of:
Kettlebell Farmer’s Carry x 100m
Alternating Box Step-Up x 20 reps

Followed by…

Two sets of:
Kettlebell Suitcase Deadlift x 5 reps, right
Kettlebell Suitcase Carry x 50 ft, right
Kettlebell Suitcase Deadlift x 5 reps, left
Kettlebell Suitcase Carry x 50 ft, left
Kettlebell Swing x 10 reps

Then…

A.

Every 2 minutes, for 24 minutes (8 sets):
Deadlift
*Set 1 – 8 reps @ 55%
*Set 2 – 6 reps @ 65%
*Set 3 – 4 reps @ 75%
*Set 4 – 2 reps @ 85%
*Set 5 – 1 rep @ 90%
*Set 6 – 1 rep @ 95%
*Set 7 – 1 rep @ 101%
*Set 8 – 1 rep @ 101-105%
Rest as needed

Build no heavier than mechanical failure. If you begin to lose positioning or proper mechanics, terminate the set immediately.

B.

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 8 minutes of:
6 Deadlifts (225/155 lbs)
12 Box Jump-Overs (24″/20″)

135×8, 155×6, 180×4, 200×2, 210×1, 215×1, 220×1, 225(f), 220×1
***Not even close to my max..but 220 is only 5# shy of twice my current BW. I weighted about 135 when I was hitting 240 max.

B. AMRAP 8 min – RX
6 Deadlifts @ 155# – all UB
12 Box Jump Overs @ 20″ – all UB
***9 rounds on the buzzer! 1 rep less than my all-time best.

Super happy with that after not going heavy for probably a year! Did pull a 210kg once a long time ago, but this was the first time using double overhand grip.

Started off EMOM and felt ok but soon fell off the cliff. Oh well didn’t want to use my lower back for he next couple of days anyway!!
