Mobility and Maintenance
* Choose 1-2 Thoracic Mobility Drills from Kelly Starrett’s Mobility WOD and spend 5-10 minutes with them.
* Choose 2-3 Lower Body Mobility Drills from Kelly Starrett’s Mobility WOD and spend 10-12 minutes with them.
* Choose 1-2 Upper Extremity Mobility Drills from Kelly Starrett’s Mobility WOD and spend 5-10 minutes with them.
– AND/OR –
* Body work from a licensed body worker (ART, Graston, acupuncture, etc…)

B.
Nutrition Preparation
* Ensure that you have quality foods prepared in the appropriate quantities to fuel your efforts for the remainder of the week.

C.
Mental Restoration
* Different for everyone – could be meditation or could be gathering with friends; the key is to engage in activities that make your life full and help you recharge your batteries.

6th place finish this year. 21 places better than Sept 2018.

Rowing cals and deadlifts from two days ago.
50 cals (2:14)
40 deadlifts (10, 6, 6, 4, 6, 4, 4) the 225 got heavy in a hurry! I was planning on three big sets going in.

I quickly realized I wasn’t going to move through that many reps in big sets like that. Small, quick sets worked well to push through. I also miscounted on the barbell hip thrust weight. I was actually up to 325!

May 29 WOD A. 5 Sets – Back Squats x 3 (81%-92%) 145, 150, 155, 160, 165 (All Done Barefoot which seems to work well for me) B. Karen – 7:46 RX ***Last done in Jan 2018 at 6:35…but I would have done them inside at that time of the year and that is only an 8 1/2 ish foot target. Today felt good…went with 17, 16, 15…. approach. At about round of 14 or 13 I did split each round into 2 smaller sets, but only let the ball drop and picked it right back up…just enough to let… Read more »

I have never squatted barefoot before outside of air squats. How does that feel for you?

Nice work on both parts too. Doing Karen after heavy squats was rough. My backside and core were fried afterwards.

You definitely should try squatting barefoot. I like it..I like that I can actually feel myself pushing the floor away more so…during the assent…I focus less on the weight on my back. I feel like I use the mid to heel part of my foot more and it helps me not fall forward as much…if that makes sense.
