A) Build to a 80 kgs Clean & Jerk, which is a personal PR for me by 5 kilos on the clean side.
B) Used 55 kgs for the power clean and a 24” box; me and my partner setup the timer to 10 mins to see how much we could push on this time frame. We did 12 rounds + 5 reps
195 C&J, 205 Clean. WOD- 5+2 solo…slow and methodical
A) 145/150 missed jerk. Shoulders a bit angry today. Not a PR day for this lift.
B) RX, 11+4 with Duthie (30″/24″).
A. Only worked power cleans for first time in many weeks with wrist injury. Working sets at #205. Wrist not good enough for jerks.
A1. Did squats from yesterday: #295×5 across the three sets.
B. As rx solo with 30″ BJs: 6rds resting about 1 minute between rds.
A.) Failed at 245 and I’m not happy with that because I PR’ed it last week at 263. Just didn’t have it tonight.
B.) One partner for 9:00 and did 11 rounds + 4 reps
A. Worked up to 120, failed 125. I need to practice jerk. I’m missing something.
B. I should have done this as an emom. I tried to do work=rest and ended up standing around for ever.
4 rounds. – 30″ box for a few reps. Started getting worried so dropped down to 26 – 28″ (24″ box with two 45 plates…) 95# Cleans
After 10hrs of traveling yesterday and 6 the day before this definitely shook off the dust.
A. Built to 145# form felt better then went for 150 and failed the clean.
B. Rx With the husband
Box jumps 30″ for him/24″ for me
10rds
A. 275pr
B. 8 rds. + 3 RX Cleans, 30″ box
MHR 180
That PR!!! ??
skipped A.
B. 9 rounds 155 clean
Got the emom for B! Awesome!
A. 215, failed jerk at 225, just didn’t have any shoulders left.
B. Rx 7,6+16, 6. I was partner 2, 2 reps shy of finishing round 7. So total of 19 rounds +16 reps.
Shout out to VanillaGorillaWill on his last workout with the crew. Gonna miss you buddy.
A: tied 1rm. 135×1
B: solo 🙁 each rd took just under a minute, so I rested 2. So I got 3rds
A.
135/145/155/165/175/185/195/205/215/225/235/245. Made all.

A. Squat Clean and Jerk
185, 205, 215, 225, 235 (f)
B. As Rx w/ 30″ box: 6 sets every 90s
… between 30s to 32s unbroken.
I’m sure those legs are a bit stiff! Those were some heavy squats. Great work today Chris!
Thanks for working out the math. I copied yours. Worked out perfectly!
I would love to hear from people about how to improve the ‘pop’. I feel like I have none and have never improved for years now. Not sure how to get this! Frustrating. Any strength or skill movements that may improve it?
My jerk was holding my lift back today too.
A. 155. PR. Full squat cleans are both great and terrible all at the same time.
B. 5 rounds. 145 bar, 31″ box. 1:1 work/rest ratio.
Woo hoo!
A: up to 67.5kg (limited by technique)
B: 6+4reps
Used 55kg barbell + 30 inch box and 1 plate
Nice!
A: 220lb
B: 5 rounds subbed the tall boxjumps for standard height for men. Rest 30 sec after each round.
Yes, one shin injury is enough for today. 🙂
A) 245lb 1 rep.
B) got 5 rounds emom before a box jump accident curbed my session. Taped it shut but probably need stitches
Eesh – rough way to start the day.
I used the 30 inch box. Was pushing to go 9 rounds by myself, but my gaping shin is a reminder I prolly shouldn’t have tried that.
Yikes. Get that thing taken care of!
Flashback!!! Take care.
Ouch, rough start.
How tall is tall for the box jumps?
As tall as you can go! 30″ + if you can. STEP down 🙂
Sounds good. Thanks!
