Great job Nick! Your strength is only going to get better with all the volume accumulation. Keep up the good work

A. Didn’t have anything to ideally use to add weight, so I worked on strict pull-ups which need work for me anyway. Also worked on some front squats just to get back into lifting since I have taken so much time off.

B. 77 RX. Pull-ups were the limiting factor here.

Carly, No need to be bummed about being 10# off of your PR. The Front squat requires a lot of lat strength and after doing high volume pull-ups, I would guess your lats were probably smoked. Going from pull-ups to front squats would pose a challenge to anyone who might be going for a PR. Also, if you took time off from lifting, 10# off of your previous PR is pretty rad! 🙂 Great work today!

A. 95# (20# PR)
B. 111 Rx w/ strict pull ups.
Stopped doing kipping pull ups on New Years for a year long challenge and I am amazed how much easier pullups have become. Excited to see how kipping pull ups are next year.

A.
25 kg, failed 26.5kg on 6th attempt. Actually pretty satisfied with this considering i struggled with a single unweighted a year ago.

B.
109 reps, 65 pounds. The thrusters is feeling a bit easier now. Trying to “rest” a few seconds between the reps with elbows locked and barbell over my head instead of putting the it on the ground as long as its possible.

Super pumped to see this amazing progress! Resting overhead is always ideal and I am so proud of you for developing the mental fortitude to rest overhead rather than put the bar down. Keep crushing it niqlas!
