A. Bryan – 800m run vs. row, chair dips vs. ring dips. 25:16.
A. Worked up to a heavy single in back squat
B. 26:46 yikes!
Rx: 23:35 (that last row was hell)
Good one, 20:18
29:03, strict ring dips for the first 35 then dropped to a thin red band for the last 25, 95# for GTO
24:41. 115 for GTOH. Green band for dips
23:39 RXd
Awesome time Phil!
Thanks!
25:53 with strict bar dips (those went slow). Wasn’t sure how 135# G2O would go, glad I went for it. Good one today.
Way to take a risk and attack 135# head on and maintain intensity. Strong day Andy!
31:17 Rx
Was doing better than I expected up until the 2nd set of GTOH. Went real slow and then limped through the last 1k. Glad I finished though
That last 1K was super challenging for most athletes. You did an awesome job continuing to truck along. Just like Dory says in Finding Nemo, “Just keep swimming!” =)
28:28
*subbed 60 Russian KBS with 88# for 20 G2O. Another long and stressful day so just moved through it.
Great sub, as you still got tons of violent hip extension and gluts activation with the KBS. Sorry to hear that you have had long and stressful days, but super impressed that you are still managing to get these tough workouts in. Keep smiling buddy!
25:27…. Lungs were gone about the 200m mark of the run
Today was a tough day but you finished it! Nice work BZ! That conditioning is continuing to improve. Yippeeeeee
26:42 #65 for the 1st set of C&J, then progressed to #75 for second set. The run and the row hurt the most!!
Nice to be able to go up in weight! Note that as a PR Star!
32:45 RX
ring dips def the workout for me. Dropped to singles
Nice work Dayna! In the future maybe do pushups for the workout and play with ring dips as skill work post or pre workout so intensity does not diminish too much =)
I almost did ring push ups second set but really wanted to push for the dips. They were quick singles. I never failed a rep and they were strict. I have lost the kip by only doing strict in EMOMS. Thanks for the advise
28:26 rx’d this was a grinder! Fun one though, all singles on the c&j’s and sets of 5 on the rings dips.
Great pacing my friend! Glad you had a good time
Rx: 29:55 I was really hesitant about the 95# but wanted to try, and it wasn’t impossible! Broke everything up into 5’s from the beginning. I didn’t want to blow all my stg and energy in the beginning. I honestly thought I would have to go down in weight and add a band for the dips, but I was able to stay rx all the way through 🙂
Now thats what I am talking about Amber! This was a great session for you as you are definitely making improvements. Im super stoked for you!
26:51 Rx. This was a grinder!
Way to finish strong Greg!
29:05 clean and jerk, dips destroyed me
Super tough! Make sure you do some mashing or Voodoo flossing of your triceps for recovery.
22:42rx – clean and jerk
Holy smokes, Batman! Nice job!
I bet if we were to retest this workout in a couple months that you would be close to sub 20. Your continual progress is amazing Ryan!
Thanks man-
Good afternoon everyone! New to the performance blog but not Invictus. I’ve been following the comp blog for a while but due to moving for a new job and recovering from a minor lower back injury, I’ve decided to cut back on the volume and start the performance training.
A) Only did half after 4 weeks of no training at all.
