A. Worked up to 235. Focused on split jerk form which was decent until 235 which was an ugly rep. Really wish I owned jerk blocks as well.

B. Performed with the fiancé. Didn’t time it.

A) 245 – really need to get some jerk boxes. Didnt feeling like getting the bar back off the floor to try more.

B) 7:53 rx’d with Carter. Each half round was anywhere between 25-40 seconds.

A: 125×1 tied pr again. I am consistently missing it on the first attempt, but then I walk away, try again, and I’ve been getting it.

B: I did Saturdays team wod in class today. 6rds plus 1 rep with my team. I was able to hang unbroken, but it was tough!

Yeah that hang from the bar got really expensive for many people. It seemed as though the “rest” (both the bar hang and the plank) gave athletes a harder time than the workout.

A. 215 PR!

B. Workout as RX’D. One to one work/rest ratio no partner. It was fun! Glad to be back! Took a 2 week rest hadn’t done that in a while and feel great! Posted on a prior day for some reason.

Been a long 2 weeks, but I’m back now. I was studying for the CPA exam so priorities got in the way.

B) :37/:36/:50/1:05/1:20/1:18/1:28

the push ups got tough and slowed me way down…

145# no belt body weight. Stoked only 30 pounds under my 1rm, it’s been a hard time to feel like I’m starting to get back to where I was as far as weight lifting starting to feel more comfortable without a belt than with ?

The workout was different though. I just couldn’t push harder, my body wouldn’tet me .

15:38. Rx

Got about 3 rounds unbroken in between the workout so there’s that.

Wooo Hoo for the PR! What made you have to break the S2OH, did you fail or did you simply get uncomfortable?

Lower back and hip trying to increase my hamstring and hip mobility through stretching and some band work….
Shoulder… seems to stem from tight traps, lats and chest… alot of rolling and some tens unit seem to do the trick… just trying to be all around smarter in my old age!

Way to keep moving and provide the proper modification on those pushups. Many athletes refuse to modify and the intensity of their workouts suffers. Great Job Leslie!

Push jerk or split jerk

Either is acceptable. Try working on the split jerk mechanics if your mobility and movement patterns allow it.
