Just got this in, in time
Rxd 270

Feel like I may have paced a little too much as my lungs were no bother, slipped off of the bar in the last set though, hands were fine but my flexors were ruined.

Some amazing scores below

Oh MY… my first open workout! Had to use 35# DB and do solo in garage. Feel like I could have gotten in one more 1/2 round if I didn’t have to reset rower and chalk for T2B.

8 T2B UB
10 C&J at 35# UB
14 Cal Rows

18.1 RX (Masters 35 – 39) – 8 Rds +18 (258 reps) Really wanted to get closer to 10 but I was ALL done at 10 Min and had to shout at myself in my head to just keep my body moving and I was NOT allowed to give up. My lungs hurt like heck for like an hour after. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9W1alKg2fzg&t=237s I am DEFINITELY not doing this again, though I wanted a bit better score. I did look at Chris M’s score and figured I wouldn’t be able to match him, but I had a secret hope…:) (I’m the slow… Read more »

Wow, I wanted to quit 5mins in. Everything felt fatigued by the end… great challenge. Congrats to all for finishing strong on this one, it tested the mind and the body in an intense way! My performance was right where I wanted to be, glad to be moving on to the next one.

Ha, my wife was embarrassed that the video captured the “ugly side” of the garage with all the random stuff. I was pumped to get my own setup, since as you know, no one in New Orleans even has a garage.

Rx. 8 rds 29 reps 285 total
I was hoping to get to the 10th round, but came up 3 cals short. I paced out the first round to much in hindsight. I’m really happy with the result though.
T2B all quick singles; cleans all UB; rows :35-38 seconds
One funny thing was when a neighbor came over to get her son while I was doing T2B!

Way to go everyone!

Rx’d 9 rds + 10calz = 316.
Went UB on ttb thru 5rds. 6&7 did 5/3 to save grip then went back UB.
UB all dB cleansing.
Rows took :40-:50.
Ugh I’m happy with my score but 10 rds were right there. Great job everyone – – YOU’RE CRUSHING IT!

Thanks for asking. Funny enough, it did not. My knee feels more awkward when I stand still for a long period of time, particularly if I twist my leg the wrong way or something like that. Rowing day before yesterday really made my knee feel pretty awkward but I got lucky and this time I felt actually pretty good.

Did two rounds of testing today. For anyone going for 10+ rounds, if you can finish with 10 seconds off the rower every two minutes you should be good (I did that with strapping in). A nice tip for those a little smaller in stature—since I’m fairly bite sized, my biggest struggle comes from moving weight, in this case the HCJ. For the sake of efficiency, keep that DB incredibly close, and let your hips do the work on the way up. Also, keep a chalk bucket right next to you (major ?). Tried posting a video to show my… Read more »

The bulk of the db…mine are sooo old school…the plates are only 2.5 and 5 #…I normally use my bb weights …but then it wouldn’t meet the height standard. So using so many plates to get to 35# makes it very bulky…not so easy to maneuver.

I got you. I’ll be using 3 – 5# plates and 1 – 2.5# plate per side to get to 50 with the handle weighing 15#. I have the rogue ones so the handles are really long. Hopefully I don’t injure myself!

They’re pretty nice, a little awkward to get used to, but the rotating handles make it worth it. They’re like mini barbells.

Yes…that is nice. Another reason I put my bb weights on my db handles…they don’t tighten down tight so the plates rotate.

Thanks bro you will I agree with Chris 11 rounds is there…I slowed way down on rowing towards end and t2b def aren’t second nature for me…I had my db set up so fall off bar one step back and I was standing over it…than rower sideways right behind that…set straps up so I could just slide in and out and not touch them during workout those are the few things I felt I did “right”

18.1 as Rx 8+19 My goal was to keep moving, keep a steady pace, go unbroken on all the movements, and hit at least 9 rounds. I accomplished most of the goals, with the only real rest coming on my transitions (the bar was a not close to the rower and DB). However, I could have totally gone faster, I should have at least speed up on the 5th or 6th round but, opted to start speeding up on the 7th which cost me hitting my goal of 9 rounds. Although, I’m s super slow rower and that did cost… Read more »
