Welcome to the New Invictus Website
Written by C.J. Martin

Kaizen, the philosophy of striving for continuous improvement, is a guiding principle for us at Invictus. Since we opened our doors we’ve always looked for ways to improve the service we provide to the members of our community. We apply this concept through continuous education for our coaches, improving our facilities, and constantly examining the systems we have in place to ensure that our member experience is the best that it can be.

Over the years, our online community has grown exponentially, and we realized (perhaps a bit late) that we needed to make some significant upgrades to the services we offered to those who live outside of San Diego. The new website is meant to provide that upgraded service. We’ve made aesthetic changes, increased the speed of the site, and hopefully made it more intuitive to navigate.

We designed the site to better mimic some of our core principles. One of those principles is to provide services that suit the goals of the members of our communities. When it comes to programs, that meant creating Fitness, Performance and Competition workouts, and providing individualized program design and online coaching for those who had even more specific goals. In terms of the website design, it meant asking people on our home page about their goal. Whether you want to compete in the sport of fitness, you’re looking for fitness tips and great workouts, or you’re looking for a gym to join in San Diego, we have a solution to offer.

We also recognize that the needs of our members who are hoping to compete at the sport’s highest levels are quite different from those looking to get in a great workout so that they can stay healthy and fit to spend the vast majority of their free time outside of the gym playing with their kids or pursuing other hobbies. Accordingly, we have created two separate sub-sites for those groups. Our Invictus Athlete page will host our Competition workouts, as well as written content and videos that is meant to inspire and educate the competitive CrossFit athlete. Our Blog will continue to host content for those looking for great educational articles on lifestyle, health and fitness, as well as hosting our Fitness and Performance workouts.

Finally, we made some cool improvements to our online store. You should now be able to more easily locate any apparel, shoes or publications you would like to purchase from Invictus.

Over the next several days and weeks we will continue to make minor tweaks and improvements to the website. Like you, I am still learning the ins and outs of the new website and will be correcting anything that doesn’t make the experience better for the members of our community. To that end, please let us know in comments or via email (info@crossfitinvictus.com) if you have any questions or comments about the new website.

Thank you for being part of the Invictus community. We’re honored to serve you, and hope you like the new website.
