How to Watch the 2018 CrossFit Games

The 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games will take place Aug. 1-5 and Invictus has THREE teams, EIGHT individuals and a handful of Masters athletes competing. Since we know that many of you can’t make the trip to Madison, Wisconsin to watch, here’s how you can keep up on the happenings from home (or secretly from work).

WHO TO WATCH
Teams:
Invictus X – Sam Dancer, Jenn Dancer, Kaitlyn Kassis & Holden Rethwill
Team Invictus – Ricky Moore, Jenn Ryan, Bryce Smith & Tammy Wildgoose
Invictus Boston – Tola Morakinyo, Nate McCabe, Kelsey Kiel & Briana Hamilton

And some familiar Invictus Athletes who will be competing as individuals: Lauren Fisher (4x Games Individual and 2x member of Team Invictus), Rasmus Andersen (2x member of Team Invictus and 2x Individual), Kristin Holte (4x Games Individual), Kristi Eramo (3x Games Individual), Camille Leblanc-Bazinet (9x Games Individual), Camilla Salomonsson Hellman (first Games appearance), Alex Anderson (4x Games Individual), Jared Enderton (Invictus Weightlifting Coach), and Invictus Sorrento Valley’s Cindy Kane (55+ Masters).

INVICTUS WATCH PARTIES IN SAN DIEGO
Banzai Bar (3048 Midway Dr). They will be showing the CrossFit Games on their big screen and serving brunch ($20 – includes bottomless Mimosas and breakfast until 2 p.m.). There will be drink specials after 2 p.m. for anyone who chooses to stay. They will also be showing the CrossFit Games on their big screen for the entire length of the competition (August 1st – 5th) so feel free to head in and scope out the place ahead of time. – Saturday, August 4, 11 a.m. 

Guahan Grill (3373 Rosecrans St. – in the same plaza as the Point Loma Invictus location) to enjoy some amazing island fusion food and watch the final CrossFit Games events. They will be playing the Games throughout the day for our members to enjoy. Food and drink specials will be announced closer to the event. – Sunday, August 5, all day!

WATCH ONLINE
Once the Games begin, fans can tune in to watch the majority of the individual and team competitions, and select events of the masters and teen competitions live on the CrossFit Games website and on Facebook. In addition, CBS Sports Digital will stream free live event coverage of teams and individuals on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app for mobile and connected TV devices (OTT).

CrossFit will use CrossFit Games FYI to let people know when events are live, so be sure to join and set your notifications so you don’t miss the best action. Known events and times will be scheduled in advance, and they will be breaking live announcements as they happen on site. WATCH ON TELEVISION
Once the Games are underway, fans can catch two hours of competition coverage on CBS Sports Network each day, Aug. 2-5 (schedule below). And don’t miss the live coverage on Saturday, Aug. 4, on CBS Television from 1-2 p.m. ET, and Sunday, Aug. 5, from 12-1 p.m. ET, or more than 90 hours on CBSSports.com and on the CBS Sports app for mobile and connected TV devices. The schedule is broken down below.

Fans can also watch live online coverage from Facebook on their televisions. One option is to download the Facebook video app for TV, available on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, NVidia Shield, Sony TV, Xbox 1 and Samsung Smart TV.

HOW TO CAST TO YOUR TV
Another option is to stream Facebook video from your phone to a TV on the same wifi network as your mobile device by expanding your video to full-screen mode and tapping the TV icon.
