Day One of Invictus at the 2017 CrossFit Games

2017 marks the 9th consecutive trip to the CrossFit Games for Team Invictus – and they show no signs of slowing down.

Team Invictus started the day with a solid finish in Event One, “Run Swim Run”, with a 5th place finish overall. In Event Two, the “Team Muscle-Up Snatch”, a variation of the “Amanda” workout, the men of Team Invictus completely dominated the competition floor from the start, finishing 1st place overall for the men’s portion of the event. The women of Team Invictus followed them shortly after and made us proud with a solid 5th place overall finish. With one 1st place finish and two 5th place finishes to close out Day One, Team Invictus currently sits in 1st place overall with 260 points.

Our Norwegian superstar, Kristin Holte, came out with guns blazing during Event Two, the “Cyclocross” bike event, to take 1st overall in the Event. Kristin was in second place throughout most of the event, chasing after Sam Briggs. During the third and final lap around the track, she sprinted past Briggs to the finish line to finish 1st overall. Said Kristin about the finish, “I knew that it was the last lap and I have to go all out. It’s not as fun to be number 2.” Kristin sits in 7th overall after Day One.
