Here’s How to Win the Year
Written by Aush Chatman

What were your big wins of 2020? Did you have an answer readily available? I did not either when I asked myself this question. The problem was that I did not DEFINE what a win would be for me in 2020! I had wins, but it took me too long to think of them, why?

To know our WINS we need to define our goals very clearly. What do we want to accomplish this year? My blog, “Identity-Focused Goals”, I talked about embodying an IDENTITY that will lead you to achieve whatever goal you set. But we MUST clearly set SMART goals to aim at. Here are 3 things I want to leave you with to have WINS at the end of 2021.

1) Define SMART Goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound). This is lifted from the Invictus Goal Setting Workbook I sent in my last email, if you don’t have it, let me know!

2) Accountability – Find someone with enough love for you to keep you honest and enough organization in their own life to check in on you for updates. Sometimes finding the right accountability partner(s) is the difference between success and failure

3) Celebrate your WINS! One way to help you remember your wins and to increase the positivity in your life is to celebrate and memorialize your wins when they are achieved. This is where I think social media posts can have a profound impact if used correctly. It is MORE than okay to post achievements to social media so that your friends and you can acknowledge what you have accomplished. So I am ALL for getting video of your pull-up, or back squat, or handstand walk. It is a way to pay your motivation and consistency forward and may even help inspire someone else to form a goal and get after it!

We would LOVE to know YOUR GOALS…What would be a win for you in 90 days, 6 months, by the end of 2021?? Drop us a line in the comments below!
