Thanksgiving is right around the corner. It’s a time of family, friends, and indulging in delicious feasts! However, there are thousands of people in San Diego County who don’t have enough to eat on Thanksgiving – or on most days. As a valued past participant of the United Race for the Hungry 10K/5K, we hope you will join us again this year to help feed those in need on Thursday, November 24 .

Runners and walkers alike will enjoy a fast and scenic pet-friendly course through the heart of downtown San Diego, beginning at Petco Park and traveling through the Historic Gaslamp Quarter and East Village. Proceeds will directly benefit the hungry in San Diego County through Foodmobile, a home-delivered meal program of Jewish Family Service, and the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Every year, the Food Bank distributes food for more than 10 million meals, and Foodmobile delivers more than 28,000 hot meals to the elderly and homebound, making a huge difference in the lives of those who do not have enough to eat.

We need your help to make this race a success! Click here for more information or to register. You can participate as an individual, create a team, or join an existing team. (Teams can be as few as five walkers or runners.) The 10K Run begins at 7:10am (registration closes 7am) and the 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:15am (registration closes 7:45am).

We have technical T shirts this year! & The first 1000 registered participants on a team receive a free Rubio’s gift card! We are receiving many more goodies each day so register today!

All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Please join us again in helping those in need at the United Race for the Hungry!

Brad and I may be getting a group together to run with us. Hope to see our Invictus friends there!
