If you are experiencing neck, back or shoulder pain, you should consider adding some neck mobility exercises into your routine. Besides pain relief, increased neck mobility can also improve posture! In this video, Coach TJ O’Brien demonstrates a neck lengthener stretch that can help improve mobility, decompress cervical spine, and reduce pain. Using this “Mind Muscle” drill – and making sure to follow the breathing cues he gives – will allow you to add space between your vertebrae to address impingement, stiffness and other reasons for pain. Give it a try on your next recovery day!
