Congratulations Meryll, Ali, Margo and Richard!

Congratulations to Invictus athletes Meryll, Ali, Margo and Richard on their awesome performances at the Left Coast Invitational on Saturday. Meryl (photo above) earned first place and accomplished some amazing feats over the course of the day. When I talked to her going into Event 3 – a 2-rep Hang Clean ladder – she told me her goal was to hit 115 lbs. She did that . . . then she hit two successful reps at 125 AND 135, and nearly made her second rep at 145 lbs. I would call that a pretty nice little PR for her! Ali also had an amazing performance on the clean ladder; she successfully hang cleaned her 1-RM Front Squat for a double! Despite resuming training recently after a back injury, Margo did great and worked up to 115 lbs on the hang clean ladder. Richard was our sole male representative and finished off a solid day with a 205 lb hang clean 2-RM on the ladder to earn 5th place in the event, and 7th overall.
I am very proud of all these athletes for pushing themselves to their limits in competition. I am looking forward to tomorrow when Jaimie and Stephanie compete. Their events kick off slightly after 8:00 a.m. Grab a coffee and meet me there to cheer them on!
An amazing weekend to say the least. I’m so proud to be a part of such an awesome group!
Just wanted to recognize these four for their stellar efforts on Saturday and also because the next day, they ALL came out to support Jaimie and myself in the advanced competition. True definition of what the Sea of Green is all about. Special shout out to Meryll for running with me in that tie breaker workout: I’m not sure how much you realize how much I appreciated that! It’s amazing how events like this can bring a group of people closer.
It was all you Steph! Huge kudos to Margo and Richard for supporting me down that long finish line as well!
Awesome job Margo!!!
congrats all around!
Way to go, everyone! I’m super impressed, as always.
Meryll….you are my hero! Also, you have been holding out on yourself, time to step up that confidence of yours:)
Oh yeah….AND Meryll had to do a tie breaking 4th WOD (running Fran 21-15-9 thrusters, 200m run), which she of coarse WON!!!!
Ali… it was a spectacular weekend for us all! Awesome PR on the front squat! Truly looking forward to seeing more of those 🙂
Awesome job, team! Way to represent!
Meryll the Ninja Ant is so damn awesome!
