Practical Paleo Meal – Spicy Rockfish
Written by “Krazy K” – a.k.a., Karen Martin
6 pieces of rockfish
2 eggs
1/2 cup almond meal
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tblsp olive oil
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
3 tblsp spicy sausage (removed from casing) (Henry’s spicy chicken sausage is great)
Combine the almond meal & dry seasonings and put in a flat dish.
Beat the two eggs and put in bowl.
Heat olive oil in deep frying pan.
Dip fish in egg and cover with almond meal mixture.
Fry until it starts to flake.
Remove from pan and set aside.
Put onion, tomato, mushroom and sausage in the frying pan and cook until onion is translucent. Put this mixture on top of the fish and serve it with a delicious vegetable.
(asparagus is a great choice)
Enjoy!
I made something like this a few weeks ago. Outstanding!
On the topic of CFI’s recommended readings, I note that the title Lights Out: Sleep Sugar & Survival received some pretty scathing reviews for its lack of peer-reviewed scientific conclusions supported by authoritative cites and footnotes (which is the opposite of most of what I read related to CF lifestyle/programming), among other infirmities.
Some reading has a scientific basis, and further serves as instructive and illustrative of perfected techniques that have produced consistently predictable results, e.g., Starting Strength. Other readings, on glycolysis say, have more footnotes than paragraphs.
So who has read this (amongst CFI folks) and what is your verdict? Without some endorsement re: substance, I am hesitant to give this book my reading time.
Sorry this is not about the recipe posting, but I made my contribution on that topic a couple of days ago.
This WOD sucked!!!! hahah I did Tuesdays mainsite WOD and Fran yesterday. I really need to get better at thrusters! (Any tips) For the thruster I did 95# as Rx’d and 5 rounds time was 7:35. I feel like I could have done better, but I was gassed by the 3 round. haha
Thanks Invictus!
