Optional 5k Turkey Trot – Road Race
If there is a local 5k in your neighborhood for Thanksgiving, show up, register yourself, and see how fast you can motor through a 5k run…or just run it with friends and family and enjoy being surrounded by loved ones and some fresh air.
I run the same 5mi race every thanksgiving. 37:20 which is a 1:30ish pr but it felt like hell for the last 2mi. Got to back track the course after to accompany my folks while they finished walking which is always great.
5k…check. Ran this with the family, not for time. It was 20, snowy and icy here in Denver and I enjoyed every second of it! Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and an extra thank you to the Invictus coaches for all of your wonderful programming.
