Alfred, for your comment from yesterday, yes that’s perfectly common to use pretty big loads for hip bridges. That’s an exercise that is pretty easy to load the heck out of.
Front squat: 5×3 185-225-245-225-205
Squat: 1×20 225
Matched 3 rep PR on front squat without looking like Quasimodo this time. 20 rep squat 15# PR.
They have these concept 2 Ski ergs that look totally weird, but are actually a pretty decent workout. I was talking to the owners and they said it’s a fairly new product. The fan/resistance and PM3 monitor are the same except you stay stationary on a pad and pull down on two handles simultaneously. You really start to notice it after the first 100m in your arms.
Christmas day workout – 4 x 30 sec sprints w/90 sec rest; 5 x 20 yds mixed agility drills; 10 x burpee box jumps all out; 2 x 200 hill sprints; cool down and stretching.
Boxing Day workout – DL 3 x 5 x 315#; Shoulder press 3 x 5 x 110#; 4 x 5 Pullups mixed grip
Leaving for NYC on Monday returning on Jan. 9. Hoping to check out CF Metropolis, though their drop in fee is $30!!
Hope everyone has a great holiday break and I will try to keep regular workouts going on the road. Thanks to CJ, Calvin, Hammer Mike, Mark Manimal, Michelle, George, Nick, Josh, Pops and everyone else for a fun and challenging year and congratulations on the operation you and all of the others have helped build.
