The Invictus Online Community and The 2015 CrossFit Open
Written by Nichole DeHart
We are only a few days away from the announcement of the first workout of the 2015 CrossFit Open! Whether your goal is to make it to Regionals or participate with a group of your friends at the gym for fun, we know that many of you will be competing this year. We are pretty confident that many of you who follow our Competitor Blog are signed up and ready to tackle the Open. We are so excited to see the first event be announced and watch our athletes crush events!
This season, we want to collect Open data from all of our online athletes to analyze, study and basically geek out over. The data we collect will help us with a few things:
1 – Assess what our athletes’ strengths are. What was our athletes’ strongest event? Where did they excel?
2 – Assess what our athletes’ weaknesses are. Where could we improve with our athletes? How can we make our athletes excel even more?
3 – Give us a good idea of what to prioritize in the coming months of training, for both our athletes who are advancing to Regionals and those heading into the off season.
In order for us to collect this data, we ask that you submit your scores with us AFTER you’ve submitted them on the CrossFit Games site. We will have a link set up on our blog on the Tuesday following the final submission of the weekly Open workout. You can submit your Open score with us by clicking on the link that will be provided.
If you do opt to submit your Open scores with us, then you will automatically be put into a raffle. We will be raffling off some pretty cool Invictus merchandise and gear, plus a spot to an Invictus Athlete Camp! In order to be eligible for the raffle, we ask that you participate in all the Open workouts and submit scores for every event.
The more scores we get, the more direction we have with our future programming for the competition blog – which will probably mean more 30 Minute EMOMs for you all!
Thank you for representing Invictus all around the world – we couldn’t ask for a better community! Happy 2015 Open Season!
