Well That Went Well . . . Now for Round 2
Written by C.J. Martin
Well shoot, we had some pretty amazing performances by Invictus athletes on 13.1. I have been coaching CrossFit athletes for competition since August 2007, and I don’t think I have ever been this excited going in to a competition season. We have some amazing athletes who have been busting their butts in the gym for their opportunity to shine this season, and week one of the Open was a great start!
I don’t typically make these performances the focus of the blog, but I happen to know that these athletes have earned some recognition for their amazing results and the months of hard work that they put in to get themselves to this point.

* - I have the pleasure of working with this athlete online through remote coaching and program design.
** – This athlete self-reported consistently following the Invictus Competition blog and entered their score and region (you can see the full question asked here).
In addition to those listed, another 60 athletes scored higher than 160 reps on 13.1. These numbers, of course, only tell a small part of the story. For some, just getting to 150 reps was a monumental personal achievement. I never want to take the focus away from those stories, but the number of phenomenal performances on 13.1 was staggering, and we had to draw a line somewhere.
Congratulations to all of our athletes who performed well on 13.1! Let’s keep it up this week everyone!

I will be shocked if I didn’t miss some obvious ones. If I missed you and you hit more than 170 reps on 13.1, please shoot a note to comments (only if you have been a consistent follower of the Invictus blog).
That is the most epic bad ass picture I’ve ever seen
Now that is some epic programming!!! and I agree with Cody what a phenomenal picture

Sorry Sun! I knew there was at least one really obvious one that I was missing!
The last one in the list is pretty impressive…
I second what Cody said. This pic is insanely inspiring.

HOW COULD I FORGET TERRY!!! Not only did Terry get 190 reps on 13.1, but he also hit a 365 lb back squat . . . not bad, eh?
Agree, that pic is sick!!!
I love this photo so much. With you folks in spirit during Friday Night Lights!
