We have some strong individuals among us.
If you were not already aware of it, we offer a “Competition” program for individuals who intend on competing in the sport of CrossFit – or at least training to compete. Yesterday I prescribed to them the following barbell complex – Halting Clean Deadlift + Power Clean + Hang Clean + Front Squat + Jerk. All movements had to be performed without setting the barbell down. Here are a few of the amazing performances that popped up and were documented on video.
Camille Leblanc-Bazinet performed the complex with 195 lbs (1.55 times her bodyweight) . . . and please excuse the camera person who turned the phone the wrong way – they will be punished for this transgression.
Drew Canavero (who follows from his university gym in Reno) got it done with 300 lbs – at a bodyweight of 185 or so.
And Christian Harris (who follows from Long Island, NY), nails 285 and barely misses 300 lbs. Keep an eye out for Christian come next CrossFit season, his progress has been phenomenal and he has a great training ethic.
