Those of you working out in the evenings may have seen Ari (pictured above) completing some brutal workout. It is not, as some of you might suspect, a form of punishment for some unknown gym misconduct. Ari has a specific goal in mind, and his goal requires individualized training. Over the past couple of months Ari and I have met three times a week to strengthen weaknesses and develop skills that will help him reach his goals outside of Invictus.
Ari’s progress has been astonishing. He’s performing well in workouts most people wouldn’t want any part of, and cut his time on our benchmark workout by nearly 20% in just five weeks. But most importantly, he now knows that he is capable of far more than he had ever expected. I want to congratulate Ari on his success in the gym, and wish him the best of luck as he begins to conquer goal after goal outside of Invictus.
Second, I just heard from our friend Jobst Olschewski, who visited CrossFit Invictus for a few weeks over the summer. Jobst is now settled in Cape Town, South Africa and recently celebrated the Grand Opening of Cape CrossFit (pictured below). Pop over to his site and drop him a quick note wishing him the best.

Congratulations Jobst. The entire CrossFit Invictus community wishes you the best.

Great work, Ari! You provided me a lot of motivation in several workouts at CFSD. I thank you and wish you well. It’s good to see you pushing on!
Is Ari’s goal to keep up with Heather and Max? Gonna need more training!
Looking good, Ari!
Thanks again to everybody at Invictus for your ongoing support. I am amazed at what a great community has come together at this place in so little time. It has been a few months since I have been to San Diego, but I keep checking back to this site regularly, always knowing that the content is top quality and the stories are amazing. I hope you are aware what a great place this is and what a great community you have!
All the best to everybody at Invictus. Hope to meet you all again some time!
ARI!!! My man!!! You are truly amazing and the biggest inspiration to Max and I. You have helped me achieve goals I would have never even considered in the past. Since you came into my life, I went from working out….well…never, to 3-5 times a week. Through your love and support, you have brought out the best in me, and everyday I feel stronger and more dedicated to growth. When you set your mind to something, by golly, you accomplish that task! Your dedication to all that you do is contagious, Ari. I am so proud of you and feel so blessed to have had you in my life these past 9 months! (but who’s counting
Ari, you rock. I am so proud of you. You are my awesome man and Max and I just love you!!
Did I forget to mention that you look hot in the above picture? How does one spell: homina homina?
Great Job, Ari!! Congratulations on all of your successes and your continued growth. Way to go!
Way to go Ari!
Ari, you have come a long way brother, keep up th solid work!!
Thank you! Just finished a marathon of a screen test and debating on whether or not to indulge in a dietary relapse; as pre-calibrated to my 80/20 ratio, and get some ice cream. This is one of the many tough calls I have to make throughout my day:) Thank you again!
12:12 with 115#. Someone needs to get their metcon back…
Ari it is only tough if you resist…join me…i am celebrating your success with some ice cream tonight in your honor.
Congrats on your hard efforts…really…enjoy a bowl of ice cream…why resist…
Adam, are you representing the dark side? I did, nevertheless, indulge in a bowl of coldstone ice cream, with all of the required toppings. For the record, I am pretty strict with my diet. Regardless, I do like George’s line of reason, that if you are going to cheat, cheat big.
