Happy B-Day M!

Not only do I love having you as a trainer and a chef, but I really have enjoyed watching you harass Patrick-especially when he first started.

That honey badger video was pretty intense. At first I wasn’t too impressed with the whole snake killing thing, because my little cousin’s pet cat, Copy, kills and protects him from rattlesnakes back home- and he’s kind of lazy and fat. But then I watched the honey badger eat the snake head and I threw up a little bit in my mouth.

I had to look up their natural predators and found this on wikipedia, which is pretty amusing.

“Adult honey badgers rarely serve as prey for lions and leopards; their ferocity and thick, loose skin makes it difficult to grip or suffocate them. Old, weak honey badgers are more likely to fall prey to leopards, lions, and pythons, but even old honey badgers will defend themselves as vigorously as possible. In one case, shown on a television program[citation needed] on Animal Planet, an old female honey badger that was nearly toothless and blind in one eye was attacked by a leopard. It took the leopard approximately one hour to kill the honeybadger.”

Wedge you have really taken me under you wing ever since i got to Invictus. I love working with you and having you kill me in crossfit workouts. You are such a role model and inspiration. Love you.

My favorite story is, of course, the story that brought about the nickname. She was showing me how to do a handstand push up with the bands and kicked over too hard resulting in a HUGe wedgie!! but she did redeem herself by kicking back over very gracefully!

Much like the Honey Badger, Michele is NOT to be angered, harassed or vexed in any manner. She may look all pretty and sweet, but you betta’ stay at her party until you’ve been excused or things could get rough!
